Burp Clothes Version 2

So I have a few baby showers coming up and I'm making my go-to gift. Remember the burp cloth I made with ribbons? I would definitely recommend that over the one's I just did. There is sooo much sewing. Here is the good news. Someone left baby material at my house which I used and I accidentally bought reusable diapers instead of swim diapers. So I didn't have to buy any materials for this gift!

In short you just cut the fabric to match the disposable diaper. Put the fabrics right sides facing. Sew all around leaving a 4" gap. Flip the material around, iron it and do a top stitch all the way around! Done.

So the question is how long did this project take?? MONTHS. I'll break it down... I brought the diapers and the material to work. I cut the fabric during my lunch. I pinned the diaper and the fabric together after the kids went to sleep one night. I then caught a break when Dennis' cousins said they can watch the kids for a few hours on a Saturday. I took their offer, dropped the kids off, drove back home and sewed for almost three hours. Special thanks to the Chun family!!!

The good news is I get to show you what I learned from Macy's. Back when the used to give you freebie's for being a loyal customer, I went to their gift wrapping department and saw how they made some really cute cards. You can take any cardstock paper and cut into what ever shape you want. I used cutesy cutting scissor that I got my mom, later to find out she never used them and ultimately gave back to me. Sorry getting off track...Cut two slits the size of the ribbon on each end of your card and then slip the ribbon through. Super cute for anything and for a card in a rush.

I made two packs of three. Now you have two gifts in one project!
