Valentine Blues then Reds!

I was feeling pretty down today because my Valentine isn't in town. Then I got this package from my cousin, Jenica. OMG. Totally made my day! She made Dylan this oh so cute shirt and a cute-a-kiss magnet!!! I emailed her and asked her how the hell did she do this??! This is what she wrote:
Used cotton/poly blends (quilters fabric and flannel)

1) buy iron on stabilizer ($3/yd for pellon wonderunder transfer web @ joanns)

2) cut shape out of fabric & stabilizer

3) follow directions of stabilizer (place fabric right side down, then place non paper side of stabilizer side down and press with dry iron)

4) pull off paper backing of stabilizer and position applique on shirt right side up. Then use a damp press cloth to cover applique and press with dry iron again.

5) machine or hand stitch edging to make sure it stays put

6) congrats! you're done!
