Once upon a time we thought we were having a family with one child. She was going to be our little princess. She was going to live in a precious pink room with picket white furniture and live happily ever after...Think again! The pink room is now shared between my daughter and son. A very sore subject in our household regarding another one of my visions. So we finally decided to ditch the pink and go with a green. The green didn't work out too well. It ended up looking like stale puke. It was utterly disgusting. Husband pissed and wanting to get this project over with ran to Home Depot at 9:30pm and got a white with a hint of grey. When I say hint, it's truly a hint. Now the kids room looked like primer. So he found an awesome color of grey for an accent wall. The finale piece de la resistance is a wall decal I found on Etsy from a company called NouWall.
Things I learned from painting:
- Test your paint color before you paint the whole room and then realize you hate it.
- Remove the blue tape as soon as possible because it will rip off paint (why doesn't it say that on the wrapper?)
- If possible don't reuse the rollers. Getting them wet and not enough time to dry changes the paint color.
- Have a wet towel handy. You will drop paint no matter how neat you are.
Totally forgot to take a before picture. BOO.
What did you put on Dylan's side of the wall?
